OilSight provides oil sampling kits, laboratory testing, and condition insights to support maintenance decisions.

By using this service, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Important: How to Use Oil Analysis

Oil analysis is a supporting tool — not a standalone answer.

Results must always be considered alongside:

  • Service and maintenance history

  • Visual inspections

  • Machine condition and usage

  • OEM specifications

Do not make decisions based solely on oil sample results.

What We Provide

OilSight delivers:

  • Oil sampling kits

  • Laboratory testing (via third-party labs)

  • Condition-based reports and insights

OilSight does not provide:

  • Certified mechanical assessments

  • Engineering approvals or sign-off

  • Guaranteed fault diagnosis

All results are indicative only.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Collecting samples correctly

  • Providing accurate asset details

  • Using results appropriately within your maintenance process

Incorrect sampling or missing information may result in misleading outcomes.

⚠️ Safety First – Sampling Risks

Oil sampling can be hazardous if not performed correctly.

Risks include:

  • Hot oil (burn risk)

  • Moving or rotating parts

  • Pressurised systems

  • Stored energy (hydraulic/mechanical)

  • Slips, trips, and site hazards

You must:

  • Follow site safety procedures

  • Isolate equipment where required

  • Use proper PPE (gloves, eye protection, etc.)

  • Avoid sampling near moving machinery

  • Ensure systems are safe before sampling

You are fully responsible for safe sampling practices.

Third-Party Laboratory Testing

OilSight partners with independent laboratories.

  • Results are generated by third-party labs

  • Turnaround times may vary

  • Minor variations in results may occur

We are not responsible for delays or errors outside our control.

Limitations of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OilSight is not liable for:

  • Equipment failure

  • Downtime or production loss

  • Financial or business losses

  • Decisions made based on sample results

All services are provided “as is”.

No Guarantees

Oil analysis does not guarantee:

  • Fault detection

  • Failure prediction

  • Remaining component life

It is a predictive maintenance tool, not a certainty.

Appropriate Use

You agree not to:

  • Use results as certification or compliance documentation

  • Misrepresent findings

  • Substitute reports for professional mechanical advice

Intellectual Property

All reports and materials remain the property of MechSim3D Pty Ltd.

You may use reports internally, but not resell or distribute them without permission.
